Enjoy Hvar breathtaking landscapes, discover the inland picturesque villages and experience the island lifestyle as it was once, before modern times.
After leaving Hvar town, we will first stop at the Fortress, to have a unique snapshot of the city and the Pakleni islands. You will have the opportunity not only to appreciate the natural beauties of the island, but also its rich history and culture. Hitting the road, be ready to be mesmerized by the sight of the UNESCO protected dry-stone walls, olive groves, lavender fields, the blue sea and blue sky.
We will visit the charming eco-ethno villages of Velo and Malo Grablje, renown for their lavender cultivation. Velo Grablje, today counting slightly more than ten permanent residents, was in the past century a prosperous village thanks to the production of wine, olive oil, honey and lavender. Few kilometers away, stands out the completely abandoned village of Malo Grablje, which with its ancient olive mill, narrow streets, stone houses is still enchanting thousands of visitors from all over the world. Here, at Stori Komin family restaurant, you will have the opportunity to taste the Dalmatian Peka: the traditional way of slow-cooking food under a steel bell covered with hot coals. In this way, all the juices and flavours are kept inside.
A genuine local gastronomic experience is waiting for you:
- Dalmatian prosciutto & cheese
- Salted anchovies
- Veal and lamb peka with roasted potatoes
- Mixed seasonal salad
- Dessert of the day
- Red or white domestic wine (0.25l)
- Water
- Rakija or prošek
