Hvar wine tour and romantic dinner
We will have a short ride to the Napoleon’s fortress located 250 meters above the sea level

After we meet at the hotel’s reception, we will have a short ride to Napoleon’s fortress located 250 meters above the sea level, with the most beautiful view on the town of Hvar and the surrounding islands. Then we proceed to Stari Grad driving near drywalls, through lavender fields and picturesque little old villages. We will stop at a few places to take some photos. One of them is near st. Roko’s chapel with an astonishing view on the Stari Grad and Stari Grad Plain (UNESCO World Heritage). Our next stop is a traditional old wine cellar (konoba) situated in Jelsa. Our host, Ivo Duboković, is a typical winemaker focused on wine quality over quantity, proven with his production and prices. He isn’t afraid to experiment so we will try numerous wines and aromatized oils such as oregano, basil and others.
After the winery we will take a short ride to the family owned restaurant in the heart of the island for the traditional meal called ‘peka’ and the most romantic sunset with amazing views. After the wine tasting and dinner, the tour ends with a return to the hotel.
Dinner menu:
• Starter – homemade cheese, prosciutto, marinated and salted anchovies
• Main dish – ‘Peka’ is a traditional dish prepared under an iron bell (slowly baked lamb and veal with vegetables and potatoes), seasonal salad
• Dessert
